Says 276 – Single Mom builds 3500 sq. ft. home in nine months.

There is this story floating around on Facebook where a single parent mom (working full time) and the mother of four that she has to cook, clean and care for…builds a 3500 square floor home in nine months with no knowledge of what is needed to build a house except for information she gets off the internet.

This story is bullshit, as footings, foundations, framing, electrical, plumbing, heating/AC, drywall, kitchen, bath, tiling, carpeting, flooring, trim, painting, brickwork, siding, roofing… etc. etc. all take years of experience to do properly. Not to mention knowing building codes and getting permits.

Recently there seems to be a flood of this kind of tripe on social media. I’ve responded to a few of them, and have for the most part, been attacked to making so0called “negative” comments. I found it incredible just how many people ate this story up as being real, and even had glowing praise for the woman. Any opposition to it was met with harsh criticism. I guess people get “paid” to plant this sort of bullshit story just to see how stupid and gullible people are in this dumbed down society.

I later realized that without any personal experience, people are gullible and will believe any story that makes them “feel good.” That, and given that most social media users are under 40, and haven’t been exposed to the real world of building and fixing things; it’s understandable that they don’t know what they are looking at and being told.

This is a picture of them laying the footings and concrete block for the foundation.. This is what I would expect from the mom and her children… but when you see the finished home.. NO WAY!.. This is a joke… lol

In this increasing dumber down society, the role of the media as a tool to control the masses is becoming clearly evident. Distraction is the name of the game, and electronic perception becomes reality. With the exponential development of electronics, there seems no end to the ways and means that the media can use to program whatever message they want into the mindset of the masses.

If the thousands of religions wasn’t enough to worship an external power and distract them from their daily lives, they now have a myriad more to choose from. Don’t get me wrong as I am far from religious, but here are a few images that show how people have become distracted and are fervent followers and worshipers of people, places or things that they hold above themselves. Take away their idol; what gives them a sense of identity and commonality with others of the same beliefs, and their world collapses.

I’m posting this as I’m tired of the – “Positive Attitude” BS that has been going on for as long as I can remember. It’s the same BS that was around when I was a child and is still being regurgitated. Whether it’s religious people or New Age Spiritual people; the problem with having a positive attitude is that it is based on religious imprints, programs and beliefs, as well as social customs and traditions. Even if you don’t consider yourself religious, you have unknowingly been imprinted and programmed with religious views through social dogma, morals, scruples, and ethics that contain the unseen role of denial. The irony is that the people that say they are being POSITIVE are in fact, the ones that are being NEGATIVE and unloving, because of their hidden denials. If you challenge and question their Belief System (BS) then you are not accepted as one of “them” and are considered negative, wrong, and a naysayer.

Some of the most popular so-called positive clichés used to justify and support their negative and unloving words and actions are:

Be positive and not negative.

We all need to make sacrifices.

They are only “doing their job.”

Being so-called “positive is what is wrong with society today. This is the same social mentality that lets presidents, governments, military, police, religion, corporations, etc., get away with the shit they do. The Media, including social media, is full of clichés and excuses used to justify any wrong doings by these groups, and any voice against their unlovingness is considered negative and wrong. The outer reality is but a reflection of the inner reality, so when society (social consciousness) denies any so-called negative feelings and emotions, they will be reflected and experienced in their outer reality. In other words, their denials will come back and bite them in the ass. Why do you think the people and groups I previously mentioned are getting more blatant and outrageous in the shit they are doing and getting away with it. Social consciousness is a collective of individual consciousness, and until people begin to take personal responsibility for all of their Being and end their denials, their reality (life and freedom) will become more and more compressed and limited.

Says 260 – Shenreed Book Excerpts up and running

Well it’s taken a bit longer than I thought, but I finally got the excerpts for my three books on line. First I had to find a simple CSS – HTML responsive website template. I found what I needed at Creative Blog, that I then modified to suit my needs. Next was the learning curve as to how I was going to code it and work it into my website. After that, was collecting the text for each book that I wanted to use, and then adding them to the various templates. Finally, there was the checking of the links, and then uploading and verifying. All in all, I only had three minor issues that were fixed in five minutes. In total, there are 42 excerpts that I hope will give readers a “feel” for what the books are about.

While it is true that others will be attracted to the frequency you are vibrating, what most are attracted to are judgments and denials that resonate with theirs. You will be a beacon… but they will be avoiding you, and not one that they want to tune in to.

I don’t know if it’s personal or on a global level, but whatever it is, it was with me constantly for several days. Now that the date is getting closer, it’s back in my mind again. This video clip reminds me of how government, religion and the media work. What they show is how they would like you to perceive the event…. The last part of the clip shows what is really going on.. If you just believe what you are shown and told, you will never know the truth..

Of course all the followers (sheeple) would cheer and clap and would deny anything that didn’t portray their leader in a favorable “god like” light. Perception is a commodity and can be used to manipulate, persuade and control people that buy into the presented reality.

The old WordPress Twenty Ten theme was not “responsive,” in that it was a fixed template that only looked good and readable on a computer. This new template, Beyond Expectations is responsive and will look good on a computer, tablet or mobile.

I was a bit hesitant in changing the theme, given the disaster I had with the SMF Forum changes I recently tried to do. But this time, I made a back up. I also changed the theme to the old free WordPress – Saysame blog that also had a fixed template, changing it from Twenty Ten to a responsive Twenty Eleven theme.

<<< AND SO THINGS CHANGE >>> After I changed the theme to Beyond Expectation, I noticed that all the hyperlinks were not showing up in a blue colour. That just didn’t affect my recent post, but all the posts. So after some searching for a solution, I decided to also change this blog to the Twenty Eleven theme, and save myself a lot of time and hassle.

People claim to be awake and even Spiritual, and yet they still hang on to their old religious beliefs and recite dogma and rhetoric at infinitum. They give so little thought to what they are thinking and saying, that I find it amazing that they can even tie their shoe laces. This is a classic example of religious (Christian) meme’s that have I have come across on the internet.

First point.. If these so-called Christians believe that they are a child of a God who is all knowing and powerful, and the creator of mankind and all that exists. That he has created everything for a purpose and reason, even though mortal man can’t comprehend or fathom what that is, except to believe that it is so, based on their religious beliefs.

BUT… Stupid mankind who believes all this, also doesn’t want to accept that what they are experiencing is right or good, and that God has fucked up and made a mistake, and that they know what he (note he, as there is no she in Christian God) should do.

Second point… But even that is screwed up as now they pray to God’s son (Jesus) telling him to help and SAVE them from all that they deem is God’s wrongful and hurtful design. They cast up their hands and wail in mournful prayer, commanding to be saved and healed. Advocating that they don’t have any responsibility or power to change the experiences that they deem undesirable.

Talk about a dumbed down society, religion has to be the number one leader in how to do that, and collect a mass following of sheep, followed closely by politics. As the old saying goes.. “Bullshit baffles brains,” and until people can get their mind to question their old Belief System, or BS as I like to call it, they are doomed to remain as they are. The dilemma one faces when questioning religious BS, is that you will certainly be attacked and admonished for such behavior and will most likely be deemed a blasphemous heathen, bound to burn in hell.

Okay, so now that I’ve shit on this meme PRAYER image, let me say what a person could use this for in a way that would empower them. It’s all about intent and whether it is loving or not. Prayer can be used to tell or command, like in the image above, or it can be used to ask for guidance. If you add the words.. “Help me to…” to the text, that changes the intent to where you take responsibility for your experiences, even though you don’t understand why you are having them, but that you are open to hear what your options might be so that YOU can solve YOUR issues. And to quote the so-called good book, “Ask and ye shall receive.” Food for thought.. Or not

Could the Root Cause of Addiction actually be a lack of Connection?

I watched the video and I have to say it’s a yes and no. It has some part truths, but they are mixed in with a whole lot of do-good hype, misinformation and unanswered questions.

The connection and bonding they are really talking about is basically just a quick fix. If the person that had developed this new “bonding” connection is suddenly separated from that SUPPORT, they would probably revert back to their old habit or addiction, or find a new one. As long as they feel wanted, needed and “loved”, they are fine, but to do that, it takes ANOTHER person or GROUP for them to feel that way about themselves. While this approach appears to work for half of the addicts involved, it’s only effective as long as they get the help they feel they want and need. Sometimes, all that is needed for a person that has nothing to cling to but hope, is to be given a chance to rebuild their lives. Sure, they have a job and are considered to be a useful member of society, but again, it doesn’t address the underlying issue as to why they became an addict in the first place.

Abuse and trauma are the same as a painful experience, and just because they are different words, that doesn’t diminish the effect they have on the person having the experience. People that don’t think they have had a traumatic or abusive experience have just denied and shut it out of their conscious mind. Just because you can’t remember, that doesn’t mean that it didn’t happen and is affecting your present experiences. It has been my experience that any so-called unpleasant experiences are directly related to unresolved past traumatic experiences. The cycle is only repeated as a means of a person being given the opportunity to feel and express what they never were allowed or felt they could during their original experience, that imprinted and programmed them to re-act as they do.

Well it’s finally here and I don’t need to worry about it being deleted or whatever. I say that as over the years I’ve started over a half-dozen Forums, only to have them shut down and deleted by the companies that originally hosted them for free. As one had issues or closed down, I’d open another, and so after a decade or more, only two remain online, but due to numerous site problems they had, active membership dropped off and these Forums became inactive. I never went looking for another free site as I planned to eventually host my own, this one, and now it’s officially active.

While my new website template is “responsive” and can be viewed on either a desktop or mobile device, the SMF (Simple Machine Forum) Forums is a fixed template and doesn’t look good on a mobile device. So I bought and installed a mod theme for the SMF Forums to make it responsive and mobile friendly. It automatically detects if the Forum is being accessed by a mobile device. The Desktop and laptop version will remain as is, although I reduced the width from 90% to 75%.

When I signed up to get my books published with CreateSpace, Amazom, and then later with IngraMSpark and Smashwords, (US Companies) they all had the infamous IRS wanting to claim 30% of any royalties I made, even though I am a Canadian and Canada has a free trade agreement with the US. Originally, they all posted links to IRS and the various ITIN (International Tax Identification Number) forms I had to fill out and get approved in order to avoid this money grab.

I just so happened to be researching this topic on the web and came across Crystal Stranaghan’s website and how to make this process a whole lot simpler by getting an EIN (Employer Identification Number) in as little as 10 minutes. I called the number she had listed, and low and behold, after a 10 minute wait and a 10 minute interview, I had my EIN number.

I had no problem using it with CreateSpace and Amazon, and Smashwords will also accept it, but it needs to be in a print format. The only bug-a-boo was with IngramSpark that wanted me to get a GST (Canadian Goods and Services) number and fill out forms as if I was a retailer going to be buying books to sell. DAH! (Shaking my head) Why do they think I chose them as a POD (Print book) distributor so that they could distribute them to wholesalers or retailers globally. I write books, I don’t plan on carrying a bag of books and knocking on doors all over Canada or the world trying to sell them.

I sent them an email along with copies of the CreateSpace and Amazon approval for them to examine and maybe incorporate into their POD services. I’m waiting for their “favorable” response, as I’d hate to go through all that rigamarole just for one distributor.

Says 192 – My Print and eBooks are now Global…

Books – global

Whew!!! What a journey! Writing the books was one thing, then came the editing and more editing and proofing and more editing until I felt they were ready for print. Then it was uploading them to CreateSpace, and making revisions until they passed their on-line reviewer. Next I ordered a print proof copy, and then more editing, and more print proof copies until finally I felt they were acceptable. Now they were ready to to be sold by CreateSpace and Amazon on-line.

Createspace and Amazon are connected, but.. and it’s a BIG but.. they don’t really serve the brick and mortar retail stores, as everything is done on line. So now I turned to IngramSpark another POD publisher, to get my books into retail stores around the globe. That was another frustrating learning curve, as what worked for CreateSpace, didn’t work for IngramSpark. Nothing major, but a pain in the butt none the less. Frustrated, I put that project on hold and focused on getting my eBooks out.

There again it was a learning curve as the formatting that worked for my print books now had to be basically scrapped and each book re-formatted, including images. Not only that, they had to be formatted for kindle and ePub. That meant downloading and installing eBook editors for both formats, and learning how to use them. Not having the Kindle ebook or an iBook or Nook, I also needed to download and install eBook viewers. Next I had to upload my revised books (in a PDF format) to an online converter and download and review and make the necessary changes. And then repeat the process until they looked good. Next I had to upload them to an on-line validator to see if they passed… and if they didn’t it was back to the drawing board.

Once the eBooks had the green light, it was off to Amazon and also IngramSpark, that I had put on hold. My initial plan was to have CreateSpace and Amazon handle the on-line POD print books and the Kindle eBook, and have Ingram Spark handle all the retail stores and the ePub eBook format. Amazon wasn’t an issue, but IngramSpark was, not so much with the eBooks, but with the print books and trying to understand what they required, as while their computer program would say there was a problem, it only in general terms, and didn’t give any specifics. So where to look? Frustrated, I put IngramSpark on hold again and looked to Smashwords for my ePub eBook distribution, as I felt that I could always use CreateSpaces expanded distribution if I couldn’t get the print books accepted at IngramSpark.

Smashwords was yet another learning curve, but I managed to get my books approved after some “political” nit picking things were resolved, like deleting active reference links to Amazon, which I did, as the names and titles were still there. When it came to deleting my pen name and copyright issues, I refused to make any changes, as to abide by their “rules” meant not only editing my print and eBooks and re-doing all my book covers, but also applying for new ISBN numbers, and that I wasn’t prepared to do, and so they finally agreed to let them pass – pending my final approval.

I then zipped back to IngramSpark and finally got the print book issues sorted out and ordered a copy of each. What their computer program had originally complained about was not really a problem, as the page numbers were one line outside their optimal parameters, but still well within their print guide lines. The only difference I could see and feel between the books by CreateSpace and IngramSpark was that IngramSpark used slightly better quality paper that was also slightly thinner, and it affected the book thickness and cover spine, but I didn’t think it was that big a deal that I needed to rework my covered to make them look better.

It was then that I made a coin toss and decided to let IngramSpark handle my Print books, and print books only, and that I would try Smashwords, to see how they handled my ePub eBook distribution. With that… my print and ebooks were finally ready for GLOBAL distribution..

The original definition of cognitive dissonance is when you know the truth, but have been “persuaded” to change your mind, and accept and promote the lie as the truth. The most common examples can be found in politics and religion.

This is a video from the mid 1950’s that explains, by example, what cognitive dissonance is and HOW it is created… As you can see, this modern definition twists that into something entirely different. The meaning of cognitive dissonance has now been changed, just like the word psychopath and been changed to sociopath.. Don’t be fooled by word or definition changes. Bullshit is still bullshit, even if you call it a mud pie.

Says 171 – eBook Publishing Nightmare.

I can’t possible begin to share all that has happened, or not happened, since my last blog post. I thought that getting my books out in print was the hard part, but that is a piece of cake to getting my eBooks published. There are numerous problems and issues and the first is that while CreateSpace is a POD publisher, they are mainly associated with Amazon, and hence, are not looked on by brick and mortar stores as someone to deal with. To get my books into the brick and mortar stores, I need to deal with IngramSpark, and that means a new account, different rules and procedures. So besides this “war” going on in the print book business, it’s also going on in the eBook business and is even more complicated.

But, there is more. Amazon is mainly interested in electronic sales of eBooks, and so eBooks that are sold though Amazon, need to be in either the Kindle or Mobi (both proprietary) formats. Trouble is that while Amazon has over 1/3 the eBook sales, they don’t distribute any eBooks in other formats like ePub, or iBook. So to get my books distributed, I also have to get another distributor like Smashwords of Bookbaby. Of course, all this means that now I need to edit my print books to make them available to all these different eBook formats like, KF8 ( Amazon Kindle) Mobi, ePub, iBook (Apple) LIT, ODF, PDF, HTML. So while my revised print book looks good in a ePub, it’s a mess in Kindle or other formats.

But there’s more… Every eBook needs to have its own ISBN number and each distributor has different rules for metadata, categories, sub-categories, keywords and tags. Also, each distributor has their own marketing plans and programs that you have to investigate before jumping on-board. To say this experience is frustrating, is putting it mildly.

Says 162 – Books Finally Published

Well it’s been a journey to say the least but I’ve finally published my trilogy. I started writing back in 2000 and after4 years, I finished what I thought was my first book. I sent out query letters and submissions to almost a hundred publishers and agents, but had no takers. Discouraged, I put the book aside and carried on doing other things, but still journaling and writing. It wasn’t until 2008, that I decided to divide my original book and expanded the “tools” section that had formed the appendix to create my first book titled, “Journeys from the Heart Centre – Meditation as a tool for healing and self-empowerment,” which I then published as an eBook. I then began to work on my second book, ignoring my original work, as I felt that that would complete my trilogy.

After countless delays and frustrations in tying all three books together, I finally finished them, including a substantial re-vision to my first book that was in response to emails I had received. So now, I need to edit and update my website and then look at getting the manuscripts off to a POD publisher so that they can be printed and distributed as a paperback.

After that, I’ll be looking at creating a wiki website for my material, as well as cleaning of all the bits and pieces of the material I’ve used in books 1, 2 and 3, and sorting out what I’m going to use for book 4. Says 161- Opera Blog Closing down, transfering to WordPress

I got the notice on 2013 Dec 19, that Opera Blog will be closing down their blog site on March 1, 2014. That got me scrambling as I had nearly 900 posts on my Opera Blog. They recommended migrating to WordPress, and as I already had a WordPress account set up years ago, but wasn’t using, I decided to move the Opera posts to this site..
Unfortunately, when I logged in to my dashboard, and tried to view my site, I found that my account was suspended for violating the Terms of Service. That was weird as I only had 5 or 6 posts on it form years ago. While I couldn’t see my blog, I was able to start the process of importing my Opera XML files.
I then sent an email to WordPress, telling them what happened and what I wanted to do and waited to a email reply. I never got one, but this afternoon, I checked this site and low and behold, everything had been transferred. BIG weight off my shoulders… Thank you WordPress..

BTW, I had stopped using Opera back on Jan 22 2012, when I installed WordPress on my Website..

Says 156 – A distorted view of our world.

A few days ago I read on a post on Facebook regarding Africa and the Middle East, and stating that Africa was way bigger that was shown on any maps, as was Asia. Today I did a search for “Land area of the continents” and found this link at the top of the list

It shows a small distorted image of the continental land masses, but it also shows a spread sheet with the actual size in square kilometers. You can take all of North America, (Canada, USA, Mexico, central America) and Australia, and it would just cover Africa.. Asia is almost twice the size of North America, yet here it is shown as being equal to North America..

If you do a search with Google Maps you will also see this distorted view of our World. It’s as if the USA (And I’m saying USA as they are the major world power at present) has decided that it is the centre of the World and therefor, North America, of which it is a part of, has to be BIG… (Texas Logic) 🙂

There is no logical reason why the maps can’t be drawn to scale.. It’s a no brainer, especially when you have access to US satellite images, that by the way, are also contributing to this lie.

While I’m on the topic, why is it that you never see any satellite images of the North and South Pole.. They have satellites circling in polar orbits, surely, they can provide images of our entire planet, and in a real and truth manner, not this distorted view that we have come to accept as TRUTH..

This is not the truth. This is yet another bare face lie that needs to be exposed for what it is.

PS: It’s laughable.. I just thought of some future archeologist’s digging up some ruins and finding the present day version of the world map.. They would have a good laugh, in the same way we laughed at the middle age thinking the world was flat.. They would also be puzzled in that they would also discover modern day satellite images of the moon and other planets, yet Earth is so mis-represented..

The problem appears to be that the so-called Cartographers haven’t found a way to transfer the size and shapes on a sphere to a 2 dimensional layout. Given all the modern satellite technology and powerful computers, it should be child’s play, but no, they still appear to be using the same technology that Christoper Columbus did when he proved the Earth was round. Even without satellites and computers, they have the known land areas for each continent, yet these blind buffoons are unable to even make an educated guess and give each continent the proper proportions to make a realistic map. So much for modern Science..

PS: I made this composite of two satellite images of Earth, of North and South America, and Africa and Europe, with the Earth being the same diameter..

It’s no coincidence that I saw this today as I was previously thinking the same thing, or on the same lines… I was thinking of how we are drawn into giving our power away by our beliefs. Like in this movie, the people believed that they had no ruler and served no king. The king could say what he wanted, but it didn’t matter to them, in fact, they admonished him.

That is how we are going to create a new World, by letting go of our old imprints, programs and beliefs. Once we no longer have them, (and I don’t mean deny them) then those that now have power over us will be powerless. Not that we will over-power them, as that is also no longer in our belief system.. It will be a whole new world.

I just thought of it.. I might just have found the Holy Grail.. lol.. LMAO. The Universe does have a sense of humor…

Says 152 – You can’t change how people treat you (BS)

I saw this picture posted on Facebook and felt I needed to make a comment. The words of this BS (Belief System) are a truth, but only as long as you are in denial and have chosen to remain the victim. Even though you no longer appear to re-act to what they say or do, that doesn’t mean that you are not being triggered. All it proves is that you’ve learned to be a better actor or actress. Being nice, kind, caring, sharing, understanding, co-operative, compromising, etc., to others when you feel pressured and controlled to do so, either by them or by your beliefs, is not loving to yourself or to them. There are countless reasons why people subject themselves to being the victim, but none are valid or loving to self. It’s important to note that the way people treat you is a reflection of the way you are treating yourself. Change yourself, and the outer reflection will also change.

Denying what is happening is not changing yourself, as it hasn’t addressed the underlying issues. Once you have intent to find and heal your issues as to why people treat you the way they do, you will change and will no longer be activated and re-acting, but will instead, respond to them in whatever way and manner you feel directed to oppose any such further abuse. Once you have stated your response in a honest and forthright manner, they will change and will no longer be attacking you, as they will have gotten your message loud and clear. Of course, they may no longer want to be your friend or whatever relationship they had with you, as you are no longer willing to be the victim and controlled by them. If that comment brings up issues, then that also needs to be addressed as that attachment is part of the reason you are a victim and being treated the way you are.
